Ethofumesate is a selective herbicide that inhibits cell division by reducing photosynthesis and respiration, thereby controlling the growth of broadleaf and grass weeds. It is widely used in legume crops, sugar beets (including fodder beets, red beets, sugar beets, and Swiss chard), pastures, and lawns.

Application

Pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide. The application rate is 1.0 to 2.0 kg (a.i.)/ha, effective for controlling weeds in sugar beets, turf, ryegrass, and other pasturelands. This product can effectively control many important grasses and broadleaf weeds, with a long residual effect in the soil. The recommended dosage for use in sugar beet fields is 1.0 to 3.0 kg/ha, but when tank-mixed with other contact herbicides recommended for sugar beet, the dosage is 0.5 to 2.0 kg/ha. Strawberries, sunflowers, and tobacco show good tolerance to this herbicide depending on the timing of application. Onions have moderate resistance.
